A superb guide

This is the one to get if you are serious about computer graphics.

I came to this book already familiar with the basics, and it still had plenty to offer. Some terminology is introduced without much ceremony; I had to look a few things up along the way. Some of the material is available elsewhere, but rarely presented this clearly. The examples are small enough to type out and experiment with, which is exactly what I want from a book like this. Worth the money and the reading time, without hesitation.

Very good, with a few caveats

Recommended, with the caveat that it is not a gentle introduction.

I came to this book already familiar with the basics, and it still had plenty to offer. I found myself making notes in the margins, which is always a good sign. Some terminology is introduced without much ceremony; I had to look a few things up along the way. Worth picking up if you already have the basics. Set realistic expectations and you will get a lot out of it.

London meetup

Hi everyone, I recently saw a post about an NYC lobsters meetup, and am wondering how many people here could make it to a London meetup. If more than a couple of people here are based in London and can make it, I'll organise one…
